VHB Names HLD to Engineer L.I. Brand Awareness

4.14.2009 - VHB Engineering, Surveying and Landscape Architecture, P.C. (VHB) has selected HLD as its public relations and marketing agency of record, to rebrand its Long Island practice, based in Hauppauge, NY. HLD will implement a brand awareness campaign to unite three leading consulting firms under the VHB umbrella, following the recent merger of Freudenthal & Elkowitz Consulting Group, Inc., an environmental specialist, with Eschbacher VHB, an engineering and transportation consulting firm formed through a merger of Eschbacher Engineering and VHB in 2007. The rebranding campaign will reposition the combined entities as a leading multidisciplinary enterprise in the Long Island land use marketplace.

The Long Island office of VHB is affiliated with Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc., an integrated transportation, land development, and environmental services consulting firm with 18 offices from New Hampshire to Florida. Headquartered in Watertown, MA, Vanasse Hangen Brustlin provides multidisciplinary planning, design, engineering, and consulting services for some of the nation’s most complex infrastructure and development initiatives. VHB’s Long Island team of more than 60 professionals helps shape the region’s landscape through its work on such projects as “The Lighthouse,” a mixed-use redevelopment of the Nassau Coliseum property; “Heartland Town Square,” a proposed smart growth community on the 475-acre former site of the Pilgrim Psychiatric Center in the Town of Islip; the redevelopment of 170 acres at Roosevelt Raceway and many others.
